What to look for to make sure you going the right way:-

Trail Run leg # 1: (20.1kms – Multisport & Multicross)

  • The Trail Run Leg will be mark with white spray paint, white lime, red arrow direction boards and blue Columbia tape will also be seen. (RED for RUN)
  • White Spray Painted Arrows will be sprayed directly onto the tar road surface to direct you on & off the roads – please look out for these.
  • The White Spray Paint will be on various different surfaces depending on the terrain.The White Chalk will be on the floor with RED Directions Arrows Boards for a Change of Direction where needed.
  • The Red Arrow Direction Boards will be at certain intersections.
  • Orange crosses will indicate NO GO ZONES and the wrong direction.

MTB leg: (52kms – Multisport & Multicross)

  • The bike leg will be have White Spray Paint, White Lime and Black Arrow directions boards for a Change of Direction and blue Columbia tape will also be seen. (BLACK FOR BIKE)
  • White Spray Painted Arrows will be sprayed directly onto the tar road surface to direct you on & off the roads – please look out for these.
  • Orange crosses will indicate NO GO ZONES and the wrong direction.

Paddle leg: (18kms + 2 portages of 130m & 1,7kms – Multisport ONLY!)

  • The portages will be marked with White Spray Paint and White Lime.
  • White Feather Banners will indicate take out and put in points
  • Orange crosses will indicate NO GO ZONES and the wrong direction.

Trail Run leg # 2: (7kms – Multicross ONLY!):

  • The Trail Run Leg will be mark with White Spray Paint, White Lime and Green Arrow direction boards and blue Columbia tape will also be seen. A band will be given to each athlete at the water table which will need to be handed over at the finish of the race to prove that you have done the whole route.
  • Orange crosses will indicate NO GO ZONES and the wrong direction.

VERY IMPORTANT:

Please follow the Route Markers and do not rely on the person in front of you to show you the way. The Marshals are merely there for your safety it is your responsibility to follow the route markers and to use common sense on the route. Keep Left and Pass Right and remember that there are no road closures on the day and to watch out for locals and animals along the route. Normal traffic rules apply. This is AFRICA.
