YOUR BOAT MUST be CHECKED IN AT INANDA DAM ON SATURDAY 5th April NOVEMBER FROM 2PM UNTIL 4PM ALL BOATS MUST BE CHECKED IN AT THE BOAT POUND WITH THE POUND MARSHAL.
NB!!! NO BUOANCY NO CHECK-IN.
ALL BOATS ARE TO BE LEFT OVERNIGHT IN SECURE POUNDS

Those checking boats in on the day of the race must have the boats in the boat pound 30 minutes before their athlete starts the paddle leg.

Please Note: No Seconding of any kind will be allowed in the transition or on the paddle leg.
The bike / paddle transition area is at Inanda Dam. Be careful of cramping and make sure that you do your brick sessions in training.
K1s, K2s, Single and double surf skis are encouraged and permitted for this event.
NB: You must register at one of the 2 registration areas before taking your boat down to Inanda Dam. This is so that you can pick up your vehicle access sticker which will allow you into the dam. If you do not have your sticker you will have to pay the full daily entrance fee at the gate.
Life jackets, boyancy and splash covers are compulsory equipment for all K1′s & K2′s. Life jackets are compulsory equipment for all surfski’s.
Run out of the cycle change over, don your splashy and lifejacket, grab your paddle and you are on your way.

Distance: 6.6km paddle
Portage: Non-Stop Dusi Portage in reverse 1.7km
Grab a drink at the water table
From put-in left to Finish
Distance : 8km – find your fasted route home
TOTAL: +-20km including portages (depends how straight you can paddle:))
There are two demarcated portages on the paddling leg and both have watering tables, marshals and SAPS security personnel.
